With winter settling in in Fernie it's time to take a look back at the highlights from this past fall.
The autumn started out with my first solo exhibition at the Fernie Arts Station. My summer photo project, Exploring the Elk, opened on September 28th and was in the gallery for the month of October
After hiking the Fairy Creek Falls trail numerous times over the course of my 3 years in Fernie I knew it would be a great spot to catch the fall colours. I finally went out to capture them this year.
At the end of September the most incredible display of the Aurora I've ever seen occurred. I caught the display from above Fernie. Check out the time lapse below!
At the beginning of October I was back in Vancouver for a week, and was blessed with clear skies to capture the Harvest Moonrise.
Following my trip to Vancouver I went back to Chihuahua, Mexico for 2 weeks. I went and explored some beautiful canyons in the area and caught a magnificent storm over the city
I returned to Calgary and managed to catch a beautiful sunrise over downtown
The peaks of Fernie had just received a fresh blanket of snow when I arrived, and I managed to make Part III of my Three Sisters series
The Fall concluded with my first time at the Make It Show in Calgary at the beginning of November. I had a great time at the show and I'm looking forward to the next Make It Show in Vancouver from December 7-10th!
